Suit Hire Made Simple

From weddings to black-tie events and school balls, our hire collection includes the latest styles and timeless classics, fitted and altered for you by our tailoring experts.

Whatever your size, shape or height, we have the suit to fit from our extensive range. Quality without compromise including suit fabrics woven with at least 95% merino wool and crafted by tailors.

Suit Hire Made Easy in 4 Steps

1. Book Your Appointment

Start by booking an appointment with us and we’ll arrange your fitting at our showroom.
To avoid missing out, we recommend getting in touch at least 4 weeks before your event.

2. Visit Us for Your Fitting

Once your appointment is confirmed, head into our showroom where our team will take your measurements.
Please note that same-day hire may be available depending on fit and availability.

3. Collect Your Suit

On your scheduled collection date, return to the store to pick up your suit and try everything on for a final fit check.

4. Return After Your Event

After your event, simply bring your suit back to the same store within two days.
There’s no need to clean the garments, we’ll handle that for you.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Yes. You may be able to get a hire on shorter notice but we suggest you call the store first.

  • The size range is extensive. Suit jackets from 84cm to 156cm chest. Short and Tall lengths also available. Suit trousers from 72cm to 152cm waist. Shirts from XS (Extra Small) to 7 XL (7 Extra Large). Shirts in Short and Tall lengths also available.

  • When do I pay for the hire? 

    Payment in full is required at the time the booking is made.

  • Yes, late return fees will be incurred where applicable. It is very important we get the suit back within two days of your event to ensure we get it ready for the next customer. The late fee is $40 per day.

  • If the suit is damaged and we cannot repair it, there will be a replacement cost of: suit jacket $300, suit trouser $150, waistcoat $150, shirt $100, tie $50.

  • There are multiple ways: Visit our showroom.

  • You can cancel a hire booking and receive a full refund up to 7 days before the pickup date. Cancellations less than 7 days from pickup date incur a 50% fee.

  • Suits 95% wool, 5% polyester, 100% wool or 49% merino wool, 49% polyester, 2% elastane

    Shirts 100% cotton

    Ties and Pocket Squres 70% acetate, 30% polyester

  • Pick up the suit from the Ricahrd and Bowman showroom where the hire booking was made. It will be in a suit cover, pressed and altered to your measurements.

  • Return the suit the Richard Bowman showroom.

  • No problem as our store staff will provide you with a form and guide you through the process of working out the size of someone overseas. We strongly recommend suit hires for someone overseas are picked up and tried on in store at least 4 days before the event to ensure last minute adjustments can be made.

  • This may be possible so just ask when you make the booking and get measured.

  • Yes this is possible, you wouuld need to discuss this with our staff.
